Christmas Tree Is Up

The spirit of the holiday season is slowly coming. Others might not have their Christmas tree yet but I did. Since tomorrow is the first Sunday of Advent, I decided that I will finish my Christmas decors before that day comes. Finally, I am done with everything. I already have my Christmas lights on our windows, Advent candles be to lit for tomorrow and other Christmas decors in the house.

Here is my lively Christmas tree. I just have a part of it to show the different reflections and shadows of the light.

The Fountain in Monte Carlo

My friend’s daughter who was with us during our trip to Monaco last spring time told me that if ever she has a choice, she wants to live in Monaco. She was amazed by the beauty of the place especially that it is located along the waters. If I have the choice and the chance, I want to live there too..lol!

Here is the fountain situated in front of the famous casino in Monte Carlo. It is a privileged to visit and see this place. I wish to go inside the casino in my next visit.

Prague, the capital city of Czech Republic is considered to be one of the most charming and beautiful cities to visit in Europe. I had the chance to visit this city twice, last 2008 and July of 2011. Prague is a historical city. It was founded in the later 9th century, and soon became the seat of Bohemian kings, some of whom ruled as emperors of the Holy Roman Empire.

The image you see is the famous bridge in Prague. It is called the Charles Bridge which connects Old Town with Lesser Town. Its construction started in the 14th century and it is one of Prague’s most beautiful structures. During the day, it is a bustling place of trade and entertainment, as musicians busk and artists sell their paintings and jewelry. Charles bridge crosses the Vltava River.

The historic center of Prague is included in the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The Charles Bridge that crosses Vltava River in Prague. I took this image during our second visit last July 2011.

It’s over two months now since we visited Budapest. This is the capital of Hungary which is considered to be one of Europe’s enjoyable and delightful cities. It was indeed an enjoyable travel we had. One of the highlights during that trip was our sightseeing of the different landmarks in this city.

If you happened to visit the Buda’s Castle District, you will for sure see the Matthias Church. This was was said to have a Romanesque architecture in 1015 but later and the was constructed into late Gothic style in the second half of the 14th century.

a very interesting architecture in Budapest. I had the chance to visit it last August 2011.

The Matthias Church was the second largest church of medieval Buda and the seventh largest church of medieval Hungarian Kingdom. It is officially known as the Church of Our Lady.
