With five-star service, sumptuous food and a long list of destinations on offer, you’d be forgiven for thinking that cruise holidays come with a luxury price tag to match the experience. But with so much choice and a healthy supply of discounts on offer, cruises are just as attainable as your average beach holiday and what’s more, they offer much more value for money.

Sit back and relax while you’re whisked from one fantastic destination to another – whether it’s the stunning architecture of Barcelona, the cobbled streets of beautiful Lisbon or the azure seas of Corfu. Enjoy the opportunity to explore each new destination in your own time before returning to the ship and making your way to the next port of call. It’s a wonderfully easy and relaxing way to travel, and the perfect way to explore some of the most beautiful places in the world.
Even if you’re on a tight budget you’ll still find plenty of options. One of the best ways to save money on this style of holiday is to opt for last minute cruises. Like package holidays, the price of an all inclusive cruise usually drops the nearer you get to departure so try searching for cruises leaving within the next few weeks.

Alternatively, book well in advance – anything up to nine months or a year – which not only gives you the option of spreading the cost of your holiday but will usually offer early bird discounts too.

If you’re new to cruising and not sure what to expect, look out for special taster or mini cruises. These are usually just one or two nights long and focus more on the onboard experience than cramming in lots of destinations, although in some cases you’ll still get to visit one or two main ports. Try it – the chances are you won’t be disappointed!
