I guess I was lucky to witness one of the best known annual events in London, the Lord Mayor’s Show  last  November 2008. The weather was not  friendly that time because it was raining. Despite of that  the show  was still continued.  My good friends who live in this city told me that my visit was a perfect timing  because the London’s famous and historical  event will take place that time. I did not hesitated to say yes and watched  it.   Thanks to these good friends of mine.

The Lord Mayor’s  Show takes place every year after a new Lord Mayor is appointed. This public parade that is made of his inauguration reflects the fact that this was once one of the most prominent offices in England. After having many changes through out the years, this show is now held on the second Saturday in November. The parade, which begins at about eleven o’clock in the forenoon, concludes at about half past two in the afternoon. There are many participants in the said parade with various motives and costumes. Several colourful  floats  are also being shown.
