We are finally back from a trip in Budapest. It was only a short 2-day trip but we maximized our sightseeing tour and had seen and experienced a lot of sights in Hungary’s capital city. We took the train in going to Budapest.  We boarded the ICE  or Intercity  Express train from Regensburg, Germany  to  Linz Hauptbahnhof or main train station.  From Linz, we took the ÖBB Railjet to Budapest Keleti Pu station.

It was a rainy night  as we did our night sightseeing but it was worth  it. The pouring of the rain did not stopped  us from walking around especially at the  Buda part  of Budapest. We  had a great time looking the city of Budapest especially at the Fisherman’s Bastion located near the Matthias Church. From there, you can have a  breath-taking view of the city. The Parliament building and  some of the  bridges  in Budapest are also visible from that location.

The view of Budapest city by night. You can see the lighted Parliament building, the tower of St. Stephan’s Cathedral and  Danube River that separates Buda and Pest but is now united into one city called Budapest.

It was so far a very nice trip we had in this city.

Budapest is high on our list of places we would like to visit, so this was very interesting Ruby. Thanks for your lovely comment on my recent Istanbul photo.

Good blog. I been there on 2009 but limit to go around and not manage to visit the palace. However, the Fisherman’s Bastion is awesome and of course the chain bridge and the Országház.
