The night before was our last night in Lithuania. We already packed our luggage because it was almost time to leave Vilnius. From our hotel in Vilnius, we just took our breakfast that morning, went back to our room to brush our teeth and did some personal necessities. We have to bring  our luggage again inside the bus for our next trip to Kaunas. We were with a group of retired German people  during that trip.

After almost two hours of bus riding, we finally reached our next destination. It was raining when we arrived Kaunas. Our tour guide told the driver to  park the bus in a certain area in the city, for us to start the sightseeing tour.  It was good that I brought with me  my travel gadget which will keep me dry when it is raining. I have an umbrella, so I am not afraid to walk under the rain. The weather was cold also but I was fine because I wore warm clothes. We had a walk in some parts of the city, saw some sights including the Kaunas castle (outside only), St. Francis Xavier Church, Vytautas’ the Great Church, St. George’s Church, Kaunas Town Hall and the square and some old and historical buildings in this city. After  that, our tour guide invited us for a lunch in one of the restaurants in the area. It was an underground restaurant. We tasted their famous local delicacy which is the Cepilinai.

There are still a lot to see in this city and  some hours of sightseeing are just not enough. Still, I am happy that I stepped on the second largest city of Lithuania.
