It is carnival time! I wish I am  in Rio de Janiero now to witness its famous Rio Carnival.  It is quite a long way from Europe and this time it is  just not  possible.  I am hoping I can visit it one day.   This world’s famous carnaval  or carnival is held every year before Lent. It is visited by millions of people from all corners of the world. This year’s carnival in Rio de Janiero will take place from February 28 to March 4, 2014.

Fasching or Carnival in Hemau, a town in Bavaria.

Although I have not witness the  Rio  Carnival yet, I am happy that I already witnessed  such festivities in Europe like the Fasching in Germany.

I was browsing some photo albums today and found one album about the carnival that we witnessed in Bavaria. I love watching this festival. Every year, I am trying my best to visit it in the nearby towns and cities. What I love most is the parade that takes place during this event. The  colorful costumes of all kinds, the music played during the parade, the beautifully decorated floats of some  groups and most of all the fun and enjoyment you will experience when  watching it.  If you are lucky enough, sometimes you can find a group of musicians and one from them is carrying and playing a  daisy pink guitar.  I love  watching these musicians who are joining the carnival parade and are playing music instruments.

Hopefully  this weekend, I can witness again a carnival parade in the nearby towns. Cheers!
