Traveling is always a fun time. From the pre-planning of picking a destination to actually exploring it, there is a lot that you can get excited for when it comes to travel. While there is excitement, travel can also be a time of stress if you do not prepare enough in advance. Thankfully, there are more than a few common sense tips that you can implement to reduce stress while traveling, allowing you to have more fun in the process. All you have to do is follow them.

The first thing that you will want to do, before traveling anywhere is sit down and make a list of everything that you are planning on packing. Once your list is created, give it an honest examination and determine if there is anything that you do not need to bring with you. Read more… »

The sun is shining in this part of the planet! This makes me feel good and it always brightens  my day. How are you folks? I am doing okey  but I miss traveling again. I know  I just returned from my recent travels  but here I go again planning for the next trip.  After cancelling two trips for next month due to career change, I picked-up the phone again awhile ago and booked for a  trip in Europe. I super love this beautiful continent.

The picturesque town of Perast in Montenegro. It lies beneath the hill of St. Ilija (873 m), on a cape that separates the Bay of Risano from that of Kotor, and overlooks the Verige strait, the narrowest part of the Bay of Kotor.

Let me finish this post before going to work. I have to accept the truth that I fall in love with Montenegro the first time I stepped on it.  When I visited it for the first time back in 2013, I told myself that I wanted to go back there again.  It did materialized during  my recent round trip in the Balkans last month. It was the third day of sightseeing in Turkey.  We stayed in a nice hotel in Ayvalik and from there, the bus will start rolling going to our next destination which is Sardis.  That morning, I set the  alarm at 5:30 and even set it two times to make it sure that I will wake up at the right time.  I need to be ready before before going  for breakfast which starts at 6:00.  At around 7:30, the bus already started its journey.

The Altar outside the entrance of Artemis much older than the temple, from as early as the 6th century BC. In the Hellenistic period the altar was incorporated into a large stepped platform that still exists.

The sky was gray and cloudy when we left Ayvalik. After an hour driving on the road, the sun was slowly shining. This is the advantage of going in a group tour, everything is already organized and you don’t need to worry about accommodation, meals and transportation. Read more… »

It was one of the most memorable   travels I had last 2013.  That cruise in the Baltic Region of Europe was indeed a great experience seeing various cities and countries in the region.  One of the cities we visited was the capital of Estonia, Tallinn.  The sightseeing tour we had in the city was all worth it seeing its most historic sights from Medieval Old Town, Raekoja Plats and its Town Hall, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, City Wall and more. We also passed-by its famous Viru Gate and here a photo of this gate.

Switzerland is one of the 22 countries (or I would say 23 over-all including my second home Germany)  I visited last 2013. It was so far the most traveled year I had during my existence on planet earth. I am wondering if it will happen again? As of now, I had visited 6 countries and many cities especially in Asia and Europe.

St. Moritz is one of the places I experienced in Switzerland last summer 2013. During that time, we took the Bernina Express from Tirano, Italy to Pontresina, a municipality in the district of Maloja in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. From there, we took the bus going to St. Moritz.

It seems that somebody is traveling again soon. This will be my first official  travel in 2014. I am not really an official but I am  just saying that this will be my first  long trip  for this year.  This was already booked  last year and it was  very cheap considering all the things that are included in this holiday.

With this coming travel, I am already researching the main sights to see or things to do  in these places that we will be visiting.

The Doumo or Florence Cathedral during my visit in autumn 2013. It is also known as the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore.

We actually had a discount because we booked it earlier last November 2013. I received a travel flyer  saying that if we book it before November 11, we will have a discount of 200.00 Euros. This is really a great holiday package.  Read more… »

This is  very interesting to know that the travel industry has provided millions of jobs to people  not only in the United States but in the whole world as well.  The tourism business is growing from year to year. After St. Petersburg, our destination the next day was Helsinki, the capital of Finland. It was our fifth day of cruising the Baltic Sea, called by Germans as Baltikum or Ostsee. The Baltic Sea is a mediterranean sea located between Central and Northern Europe.

The city of Lisbon is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, in Portugal. This historical city has many ancient cathedrals, churches and monuments.

Jeronimos Monastery.

The Jeronimos Monastery is the place where the explorer Vasco da Gama is buried. Visitors will be able to explore the cloisters of the monastery. The Sao Roque Church is a famous church, considered to be one of the most expensive churches to be built. This church was built using gold from Brazil. The decorations were carved from agate, ivory, gold and silver, and part of the church is decorated with colourful mosaics. Nearby visitors will find the baroque Santa Catarina Church.

I am back here again! I have such a busy life that I was not able to  post some updates here. Besides I just came back from a trip in Italy and still trying to regain some  lost energy from that trip. I am glad that I am here again to  give you an update.

The House of the Blackheads in the Old Town Square. The original building was erected during the first third of the 14th century for the Brotherhood of Blackheads, a guild for unmarried German merchants in Riga.

Let’s go back to Riga this time.  Time flies so fast that it is over a year now since I visited Latvia’s capital city. It was autumn last 2012 and the weather was already cold in this pat of the  Baltic States.  I have been to many capital cities in Europe and I would say, Riga has its won beauty. No wonder it is also visited by  international tourists from around the globe. Read more… »
