Festivals all year round! These are some of the things I love in Germany. You can experience it in any seasons of the year. These so-called Volksfest or People’s Fair for example are very prevalent not only on summer season but also on spring and autumn or fall seasons. Imagine going to the world’s most famous and biggest festival, the Oktoberfest in Munich!

A beer tent in one of the Volksfest I attended in Bavaria, Germany. It is still not full when we went inside.

The one held in Stuttgart known as the Canstatter Volkfest is also a fabulous festival to visit. Although  this Volksfest is not strictly speaking a beer festival, it is considered by many to be the second largest beer celebration in the world after the Munich Oktoberfest. Read more… »

Whose coming with me this coming Oktoberfest 2014 in Munich? lolz! I am actually kidding. I don’t have any idea if I will be working during those times but I am hoping that I will have some days-off   from work to experience once again this world’s greatest and largest funfair held annually in Munich, the capital city of the region of Bavaria in Germany.

Ascona is one of the places I visited in Switzerland in the past. It is a year now since my last visit. The weather that time was nice and sunny. I can still remember that day. Besides I have some photos I took during my visit there.

Taken during my visit last March 2013.

Ascona is located on the shore of Lake Maggiore. It is a municipality in the district of Locarno in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland.

I remember a friend who visited us last summer 2010. She told me that she wanted to visit Karlovy Vary. Sad to say, I was not able to bring her to this city. Last year, I visited this place for the second time. It was a perfect timing because the International Film Festival was going on. There were a lot of people there. You can find entertainers and musicians everywhere.  I am guessing if the one of the musicians you see in the image below  was  playing gibson les paul standard that time. I did not really take a look on their music instruments because I was more interested on the songs they play.

That was good timing during our visit. We did not only watch musicians but also did some sightseeing and shopping.
