Canada is a huge country. In fact, it is the second largest country in the world after Russia. It is also the largest country in North America. Canada is famous for its natural beauty and untouched landscape. It is an amalgam of unique cultures and multifaceted history. These are only some of the reasons why Canada is one of the favourite  travel destinations  of tourists worldwide.

I have been to Canada recently. It was my first visit in this country and I was overwhelmed by its beauty. It was only a short two-day visit in Vancouver. For this reason, I still want to make some Canada Trips  in the future. During that 2-day visit in Vancouver, I already saw and experienced a lot including Canada Place, the Stanley Park, the historic Gastown, Chinatown and  Capilano Suspension Bridge. We also  went up to Vancouver Look-up,  where we had a fantastic 360 view of the city and its surroundings. Our two days walk around Vancouver  was quite   tiresome but  truly   worthy  it.

I want to go back to Canada because I want to visit Ontario especially its capital city, Toronto. I have some friends in this city and they have been inviting me to pay them a visit. I already have some list on what sights to see when I will visit this city. I want to visit the Art Gallery of Ontario, Ontario Science Center, Royal Ontario Museum, the Toronto City Hall, Casa Loma, the Roger’s Center and most of all, I want to go on top of the famous CN Tower in this city. of course Niagara Falls is also included in my must-see sights.

There are still a lot of interesting towns and cities to see in Canada. Since it is really a large country, I believed Traveling with the Rail is one of the best and comfortable transportation to go to its different cities. It is also an ideal way of seeing the stunning Rocky Mountain and other landscapes in this country. I always feel comfortable traveling with the rail.

Why I want to go back to Canada? This is actually a vast question but all I can say, there are a lot of interesting places to see in Canada. Included in my list are Victoria, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Quebec, Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa, Halifax and many of its parks. I hope to see some of these cities in 2013.

A friend called me last weekend telling that they will be stationed to other country again. His husband is actually in the US Army and from time to time, they are station to different places. She said that the Army already gave them a list of different countries for them to choose from. This is one advantage if you are in the US Army or having a husband who is in the army. You can visit different countries for free when the Army assigned you there. You also receive housing benefits and COLA or Cost of Living Allowance and other benefits. These housing properties are owned by the US Army or private owners in the area. I am happy about the life of this very good friend of mine. How I wish I am married to an army? haha! Just kidding folks! I am living my life to the fullest at the moment and I am really thankful about it!

Anyway, back to the main topic! Inspite of not being married to an army, I can still travel and visit places. I am always grateful with all the previous trips I had and still counting for new ones. I remember when I was visiting some good friends in England last 2008. It is quite a long time now but the memories I had during that trip is still fresh in my mind.

Most of my friends are renting houses in UK. They hired companies who are offering letting services to find their new homes and apartments. The one I visited in Harrogate has some friends with her in the apartment. In that way, they can share the monthly rentals and other utilities like electric and water. That is quite a good idea and it is not really heavy for her pocket. She’s not married yet and I believed her decision of sharing her apartment with her friends was a wise one.

I also visited a friend in London. As far as I can remember, the apartment where they are living  are owned by them.  They are currently paying for the monthly mortgage. Since the two of them are working and they are quite earning good money, buying an apartment is a wise decision.

I am also happy for a friend who bought his own house near Birmingham. He is always proud that at least, he has a home that he can call his own now. He is working as a nurse  and I am also glad about his achievement of owning that property. He don’t have a  landlord  to take care  of  because he owns  the place.

I still have a lot of friends living in the different parts of United Kingdom. Some former classmates and schoolmates are in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Wales and Scotland. Some are inviting me to visit them. When time and financial matters are possible next time, I will surely come to their place. Thanks for all your invitations!

My three weeks holiday in England was all worth-it. First and foremost, I visited some friends and had fun with them. Second, I visited a lot of historical sites  in the different towns and cities there. London. Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, York, Harrogate, Warwickshire, Windsor Castle, Stratford-Upon-Avon are only some of the places I went to. Lastly, I brought home with me a lot of priceless memories and travel experiences. All I can say, that trip was simply awesome!

I had the chance to visit United Kingdom last 2008 but not in Scotland. During  my  three weeks vacation in England, I visited London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, York, Stratford Upon Avon, Windsor Castle, Harrogate, Knaresborough and Warwickshire. I could remember that I stayed in an affordable accommodation during my visit in London. I can say my  visit in England was one of the memorable holidays I had last 2008.

There are still a lot of countries that are included in my travel wishlist. When given the time and budget next year, I would surely love to visit Scotland. This is one of the countries in the United Kingdom that I am wishing to experience.

I found last spring of this year a vacation package to Scotland. It includes  transportation, Holiday Cottages to stay, tours to different places there, the tour guide, breakfast and dinner  were  also included.  I tried to book the said trip but it  was already fully booked.  I felt so sad about  it  because the price was really affordable. I ended up going to Spain for three weeks that time.

There are a lot of towns and cities that I would love to see including Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Lochness, Loch Lomond, Dundee and many more. There are also a lot of sights and museums that I wanted to visit. Most of all, I would love to experience a Spa and Leisure Holiday in this country.  I heard that Scotland can offer this luxury to its tourists and visitors.

With its dramatic scenery of mountains and valleys, green fields and forests, rugged coastline, beautiful landscapes, historical sights, rich culture, I believed Scotland must be a must to see and experience in Europe.  These are only some of the reasons why Scotland is one of  the dream countries I wish  to visit in Europe. I will for sure visit this beautiful country in the future.

Spain has a lot going for it – fantastic weather, beautiful beaches and historic cities to name just a few. But there is even more to this fascinating country which, if you are a wine lover and connoisseur, will be music to your ears. There are many wine routes to explore – it really is a case of taking your pick from the best on offer when on cheap holidays to spain.

Northern Spain Route

The north of Spain is home to some of the best wineries in the whole country, if not Europe. Very few places on earth can boast such a rich array of wine producing regions so close to each other. The Basque Country, Navarra and La Rioja are just three of these regions which are set to the backdrop of relaxing villages and crowd free roads. If you love wine and a relaxing way of life, there is nothing better than a northern Spain wine tour!

Jerez Wine Tour

In the south of Spain sits the town of Jerez. Here, the conditions are often hot and dry, which is the perfect conditions for the production of sherry – a type of wine itself. If you want to explore the wineries, most are open throughout the mornings and only charge around 3 Euros for entrance. The oldest winery dates back over 250 years, so this region certainly has history that wine and sherry lovers will simply love.

Ribera del Duero Wine Region

The Ribera del Duero wine region is one of the most famous in Spain and sits centrally, just 120km from the capital city Madrid. The Tempranillo grape is what creates the gorgeous wine here, with the area’s hilly terrain and hot summers making it a perfect wine producing region. There are said to be over 250 wineries here – meaning if you hire a car or a bicycle you can spend all day exploring the wineries, tasting the produce and soaking up the laid back atmosphere which the region is famous for.

Wine and Spain naturally go hand in hand. If you find yourself stuck as to how to spend your next few weeks off, very cheap holidays to Spain should always be an option on the table.
